#24in48 WrapUp!

I didn’t do half bad if I do say so myself!

So I didn’t get a whole lot of reading in but I did manage to almost get half of the goal! Coming in with 11 hours and 8 minutes. This was juggling plans I had with the hubby and a few house related things that came up (our washer went out!).

I also managed to finish a few things!

First off I finished One Hundred Nights of Hero by Isabel Greenwood. This was an onehundredamazing graphic novel. Not only is a work of art in physical form, it’s big and it’s pages are glossy perfection. But the art itself is amazing. It’s a style that some I know won’t enjoy but I loved. Then I finished The Inquisitor’s Tale by Adam Gidwitz. This one also had art within, but it was illuminated as opposed to a graphic novel. The story meandered a bit but I wound up loving it for it’s diversity, it’s use of history, and the ultimate story. Fantastic Middle Grade read, the best I’ve had so far!
And finally I finished Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson. This was, again, amazing! I don’t know what kind of juice I was drinking midnightrobberthis weekend but I read some amazing stuff. This one, as I’ve talked about before is a Caribbean SF. Our main character Tan Tan winds up exiled with her Father and has to struggle to survive when even her loved ones turn. The world was rich, the culture was
everything, and I love anything that has the extreme sexual dimorphism that this had in an alien species. This sits up there with Binti for me, definitely pick it up!

Overall, a great weekend! I am super happy I got to participate and hope everyone else read some amazing stuff as well!

Thanks for reading!
