So here’s the thing with me. I don’t usually mind spoilers. In fact, the only time I usually care about spoilers is video games and even then it’s not for sure I’ll be bothered. Books especially aren’t high on my list of things I worry about being spoiled. So when it happens I don’t really get bothered, and then it doesn’t stick out in my head. I’m also uncannily good at reading a blurb or any information and guessing the plot myself. It happens almost at least once a week. I can though remember a few…
Top 5 is, of course, created by Lainey at GingerReadsLainey. And as usual these are not in any specific order.
5) Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Really, who wasn’t spoiled by this one? I probably had the opposite reaction that most did however. I really enjoyed Allegiant (one of the few) so the spoiler didn’t push me away. It actually pulled me in.
4) Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I haven’t even read this yet, any of these. This is another one like Allegiant though. Who hasn’t been spoiled by this? I don’t feel like I even need to talk about this one.
3) Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
…Is anyone else detecting a theme here?
2) A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
This one I actually just got spoiled for like two days ago, and frankly I’m pretty glad. I have seen so many ‘Omg! So good!’ that when I spotted a negative review pop up and I had to watch it. Even in the non-spoiler section I decided I would not be reading this book, and the spoilery section definitely sealed that decision.
1) The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
This is the one accident, and one I really regret. I will be reading this series this year and I wasn’t paying attention to my phone while listening to booktube video. Then BAM spoilers. I really regret this one, but oh well.
