#TheReadingQuest TBR

So I decided, since it was adorable, to give this Reading Quest Readathon a go! It’s being hosted by Read At Midnight and lasts a full month (or close to it). It runs from August 13th (tomorrow because I’m terrible at heads up on this stuff) to September 10th. I’m not going to go into the rules – they are all available in that link right up there. But read on to see what class I picked and what my initial five books are!
As usual there will be a TBR video up on my channel in a day or two to watch as well!

So you pick a class yes? I went with the Knight (I don’t recommend giving me a sword in real life though I will totally take it and brandish it like a fool).

This means I have five challenges to complete (I’m going Five Across for the Knight path) and I have a book for each!

  • The First Book in a Series
For this I’m going with A Thousand Words for Stranger by Julie E. Czerneda. This is the first book in a sci-fi series I’ve been wanting to read since… well since tiny Sarah first saw it at the used bookstore when I was very young. I happened to find the first 6 books (for freeeeee) at another used bookstore so now I have them and this is going to happen!
  • A Book With a Verb In It’s Title
I’m currently reading The First Signs: Unlocking the Mysteries of the World’s Oldest Symbols by Genevieve Von Petzinger. I just really want to finish this, and even though it’s due the day after the readathon begins I’ll still be reading it during the thing right?
  • A Book With a Weapon on it’s Cover
My hubby picked this one for me! I’m going with Redwall by Brian Jacques. This is another book from my childhood. The edition I have has an adorable mouse brandishing a sword and shield – perfect for a knight!
  • A Book With a Red Cover
I got on a recent used bookstore trip Victoria by Daisy Goodwin. This has a lovely red cover and I thought it was high time I got to some historical fiction.
  • A Book That has a TV/Movie Adaptation
This might be a wee bit of a cheat. I have Guardians of the Whills by Greg Rucka. This is a Star Wars book about some characters from Rogue One. Though! I do believe this book covers parts of that movie, so I’m counting it.

What else do I plan on reading? I might go up the Mage Path after I finish the Knight path. If I don’t I do have my eye on some of those side-quests in the center such as ‘Open World’, ‘Potions’, and ‘Grind’. I’ll try and update weekly as I go or do a post when I have a few to talk about.

Who else is doing this!? And how awesome and amazing is the work put into this. I love it!
