Top Five Wednesday : Title Fonts on Covers

Top5Wed

This week’s Top 5 is a fun one, I’m really stoked for this one. Let’s check out some of my favorite winners! Top 5 Wednesday was created by GingerReadsLainey on Youtube.

Vermillion

1)   Vermilion by Molly Tanzer
I adore this book and it’s cover, love it. It’s got that smooth buttery feel in person and the red is bright, nearly neon red. I read thisfor my real life Book Club and I love it.

Wee Free Men

2) The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett
I like this font, it’s subtle and just stand out too me. Especially the contrast between Sir Pratchett’s name and the actual title font. A real gem, I plan on collecting all of the Tiffany Aching books in this edition.

Rat Queens

3) Rat Queens by Kurtis J. Wiebe and Roc Upchurch
Rat Queens is my favorite graphic novel currently in print. I love the title and the trademark image of the Rat in the heart. I get really excited whenever I see it on a shelf or in a video.

Feed

4) Feed by Mira Grant
Feed looks like it’s actually drawn in blood. It was the first thing that drew me into this book, and though I haven’t read my copy yet it was the first Seanan/Mira book I ever bought.

Empire

5) Empire in Black and Gold by Adrian Tchaikovsky
I like the font used on these bug inspired titles, they’re very much fitting to the the type of story. I’m bummed that part way the series they changed the font, but it is what it is.
