August TBR & Plans

August should be an excellent reading month for me. *Should be* is the key portion of that sentence. Our vacation to the beach is at the end of the month so hopefully I’ll get some great beach reading in. That being said it’s my husband’s first time to the beach, I may be running around with him a lot.

I’m also going to try using the TBR challenge categories from #TBRTakedown for this month. I have high hopes!
But anyways, the books I want to read this month:

image

Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of Baskerville by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for my Classics read and Most Recent Haul Book
The Fall by Guillermo Del Toro & Chuck Hogan for an unread sequel
The Enemy by Charlie Higson for the first in a series
Fireworks in the Hamptons by Celia Jerome for something that’s been on my shelf over a year
Stiff by Mary Roach for an Out of my Comfort zone book (not only is it non-fiction but it’s an audio book)
The Mad Scientists’s Guide to World Domination edited by John Joseph Adams for the section I added to this TBR challenge thing, Short Story Collections, I have a ton and they need to be read

I’m currently reading The Thousand Names by Django Wexler, Clockwork Dagger by Beth Cato, and Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews. I’ll be adding things in such as my TBR jar picks as I finish them and whatever else I feel like but those are my for sure books (I hope) this month.
*fingers crossed*
