Taking into the week I have a few reads I don’t think I’ll finish today. Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend is a book I’ve seen everywhere and I just started (and I love). I also just started Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, I just need to find some down time to read it since I do so out-loud.
I have two books coming to me this week and I plan on reading both as soon as I can so we can add those to the TBR. In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire is another one that I’m sure will be on a lot of TBRs. It’s the fourth Wayward Children novella and I’m also sure it will give me a lot of feelings. The other is Once Ghosted, Twice Shy by Alyssa Cole which is a novella in the Reluctant Royals series. I adore the side character this focuses on so I’m super happy to see her find love.
Besides these I have a few recently acquired books to get to. I got A Study in Honor by Claire O’Dell & Beth Bernobich that I am so excited for, I can’t begin to tell you. I wanted this one terribly bad when it came out but because of budget reasons missed out. I snagged it for 1.99 on a Kindle Daily Deal two days ago and I’m still buzzing (side note, I absolutely love the cover of the second book, I hope this is going to live up to the hype I’m making for myself).
That would be everything I got within the past month, so bouncing back into last month I have A Fashionable Indulgence by K.J. Charles, another lovely M/M romance. And two non-fiction Italian Folktales by Italo Calvino and Birding Without Borders by Noah Stryker. Past these I’ll be choosing from random off my shelf. I’m eyeballing Daemon Voices by Philip Pullman, The House of Shattered Wings by Aliette de Bodard (whose short fiction is some of my favorite so I’m worried about that full length novel), and The Secret Files of the Diogenes Club by Kim Newman. All of those were December acquisitions so I naturally want to get to them soon. Hopefully with this being a Romance and SFF heavy batch I can plow through them quickly.
Anyone else taking part? Good luck! Thanks for reading and have a good one guys.
