TL;DR: A lovely cozy romance in Dream Harbor.
Source: NetGalley, thank you so much!
Plot: Fake Dating develops into real feelings in this cute little story.
Characters: I always enjoy characters in Dream Harbor. Daisy and Elliott were very sweet but not the standout characters like we’ve had before.
Setting: Dream Harbor is my favorite romance setting. I wish we’d had a bit more of it in this one but I still loved what we had.
Romance: So CUTE! I love a cute blushing hero.
Summary:
Daisy is fed up with being unlucky in love, and after several weddings she has done the flowers for end in divorce, her beloved flower shop has gained a reputation of being cursed, thanks to Mayor Kelly and his infamous visions.
Dream Harbor newcomer, Elliot, has been adjusting to town life following his own relationship turmoil. And until now he’s avoided the flower shop at all costs. If the mayor is correct, he doesn’t need any more bad luck in his life.
But with his family coming to visit, Elliot finds himself reluctantly in front of Daisy’s store in need of some flowers. As the petals blossom in the sunlight, Daisy and Elliot might find that love comes when you’re least expecting it…
Thoughts:
The Dream Harbor series is such a delight. It’s a little cozy, small town romance series I always go too when I need something light, fun, and rewarding. Each book has a fun couple, it’s low angst, and its a guaranteed laugh. The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is no exception to this rule for me, coming as book six in the series.
While it doesn’t have the deepest or most intense plot I loved this. It’s was like having a little bouquet of daisies, just a happy fun time and a bright spot in my reading. Daisy is a delight. She thinks she’s cursed but she also isn’t overly negative about it, instead trying her best where she’s at. I also adored Elliot. I have a huge soft spot for a sweet hero who has it bad. Especially one who blushes easily. Just, give me more of those please.
This is another great installment into this series. If you’ve been reading the series, you have to continue for the adorable Elliot. And the little hint at our next couple has me very excited!
