Thoughts: Rescue Tails: The Treacherous Tower by StacyPlays

Source: NetGalley & the Publisher – Thank you!
TL;DR: I loved this young reader adventure – enough that I’m going to pick up the others!

Plot: Easy to follow but engaging with friendly writing
Characters: Very cute and I think will be relatable for most kids, especially girls who love animals
Setting: I know this is meant to be a Minecraft inspired series but I hardly noticed that at all. Easy to understand for the intended audience

Thoughts:

This was an absolute delight of a story. Rescue Tails continues with the same characters as the previous WildRescuers as Stacy goes on an adventure to save a baby ocelot in the rainforest. The story here is focused, short, informative, and beautifully illustrated. I think children will love both the illustrations and the journal format, as it’s written in a easily consumable format.

On top of that I learned new things! I consider myself pretty on top of animal and nature facts, I’ve always been an outdoorsy type of person. This managed to keep the information presented here fresh and had new information even for me! In fact, I’ll likely be following the series. This would be one that will age well for my own children in a few years, and it was a super fun read for me!

Overall a great new nature based adventure story for girls or boys. If you like reading these as an adult I’d even recommend it as well. As I stated, it’s fast, fun, and beautiful. A great new entry for young readers!
