A Reading Journal
TL;DR: A weirdly structured collection of essays and stories. Probably more for the devoted fans of Cixin Liu than anyone else.Source: NetGalley, thank you to the publisher! Collection: As far as a collection, this one felt like a bunch of saved files from a folder with no real collective theme or reason. It was fairly... Continue Reading →

So it's been a slow month. I'm trying to keep up and do a little bit of reading here and there as I can. I do have a few things to talk about though, and a few little digital purchases to list! So a few things I've picked up on sale, received one as a... Continue Reading →
I knew next to nothing about Buddhism. Pretty much the base level of pop-culture references plus a few fly-away facts I'd picked up while studying Japanese in college.    To Marry an English Lord is presented as a popular history style book that talks about the period of time during the Late Victorian era into the Edwardian era when it became common practice for rich Americans to attempt to net a title through marriage. My copy in particular had a large printed emblem that... Continue Reading →
I managed to unhaul two bags worth of books in my recent ‘catalog my books’ project. I’ve stopped buying books new unless I’ve tried it (library checkouts, samples online) previously. The used books though, that’s where I hit a hole. These are usually things I’ve heard about or sound interesting or I’ve already read.... Continue Reading →
My reading is slow, so slow this spanking new 2018 so the new format I'm going to shoot for here is similar books talked about together in bunches of twos and threes. There will not be videos for the foreseeable future, but I have hopefully returned to this for the time being! Onward! Let's look... Continue Reading →
