TL;DR: Just rip my heart out and step on why don’t you?

Plot: A very well implemented jump forward in time after Robbie is kidnapped by the Alpha of all and the Bennett’s have to retrieve him
Characters: The Green Creek pack with a focus on Robbie and Kelly
Setting: We see a bit out of Green Creek but after that it stays in the town
Magic: More magic is seen besides the werewolves, our big bad executes a few gnarly maneuvers

Thoughts:

Heartsong is one of those books I kept picking up and reading and adoring but dreaded finishing. The third in the The Green Creek series, it follows Robbie after returning to the Bennett pack. Some things have happened to him and the pack in the time since the end of book two and he needs to find the truth to heal himself and the pack.

The Green Creek Series has impressed me with each installment. It has a ‘couple of the week’ feel in that each book follows another couple. TJ Klune has done a fantastic job however having each book carry a lot of importance. Each couple, and each story is very important to the overall meta plot. It doesn’t feel like we’re following a side couple ‘just because’. Everyone is important, just like within the story everyone is Pack and everyone matters.

The story, like these tend to be is intense and I nearly cried on several occasions. I continue to love and adore so many of these characters, like Rico and Chris and Tanner. I cannot wait to see the end of this series. If you’ve read previous installments this is a must read, and I continue to say these books are a pickup if you’re at all interested in them.
